UCI TH!NK
UCI TH!NK is a program introducing 5th-grade students to philosophical thinking.
UCI TH!NK pairs graduate students in philosophy from UC Irvine with 5th grade classes in the neighboring Irvine, Santa Ana, and Borrego Springs School Districts to model and teach philosophical thinking and questioning through the reading and discussion of age-appropriate texts. Students cultivate the ability to think more abstractly and develop their own philosophical opinions, as well as appreciate the value of carefully reasoned thought.
