For a better world, we need better thinking. The Marc Sanders Foundation is committed to using philosophy to help the world approach larger personal and societal issues with the thoughtfulness, care, and rigor needed to drive understanding and change. Better thinking is essential if we are to cultivate and preserve civil discourse, public dialogue, and a healthy democracy. We need to foster it in our young people, in our media environment, and in our institutions of policy-making.

Over the next five years, the Marc Sanders Foundation will greatly expand our impact by dramatically multiplying the scope, impact, and appreciation of philosophy – of its tools, the insights it offers, and the significance of the questions it addresses.
